Skardu Valley is situated near the western side of Skardu, at an altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains, the highest of which is named Batura Peak (5,828 meters). The Skardu Valley is home to various plants and animals. Skardu is also famous for its traditional handicrafts including carpets, rugs, and blankets.  A visit to Skardu Valley is always special to me as it’s one of the few places where I can experience nature at its wildest, untouched, unspoiled, untouched.

 The valley is located in the northern part of Gilgit-Baltistan, which borders Afghanistan and China. Its strategic location, along the Karakoram Highway and on the main trading route between India and Central Asia, has made it a major trade center for over 2,000 years. Many historians believe that the area was originally settled by the Huns, who called the valley Shambu, which was later corrupted into Sambar.

The valley is a beautiful place and is surrounded by many mountains. There are many cities in the valley. The main city in the valley in Gilgit. People from all over the world visit the valley and come here to relax and spend some time with family and friends. There are many hotels in the valley. 1. History of the Skardu Valley

The Skardu Valley, is a high valley surrounded by towering snowcapped peaks on all sides except one. The Skardu Valley is a paradise for mountaineers. In the past, this place was called “Shalokot”. This name has become famous due to the fact that the name ‘Skardu Valley’ is derived from the name of the valley i.e. Shalokot.

A journey of discovery takes us from the beautiful valleys of Pakistan’s Skardu Valley to the remote mountains of China. It’s here that we learn the history of one of the most beautiful and mysterious places in the world.

2. Geography

The Skardu Valley in Pakistan is located in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. It is located on the Northern side of Gilgit Baltistan and lies on the Karakoram Highway. The region is home to a large number of national parks and monuments. Its location also makes it a tourist attraction. The region consists of high mountains, glaciers, lakes, streams, valleys, and glaciers. These are all very beautiful.

The Skardu Valley Pakistan, also known as Baltit Fort, is located on a narrow ridge about 2.5 km south of Skardu city, in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The fort was built in the early 15th century by the Mongolian and Tibetan empire, and later, it served as a watchtower against the Afghans. The people of Skardu Valley are known for being particularly kindhearted towards visitors who happen into their small town. They will even give food to hungry travelers who come to their doorsteps. On March 24th, 2012, two visitors came to the door of a house in the village of Gupi, which was populated by seven families. After having some conversations with the villagers, the travelers left with full bellies. A few hours later, the visitors returned to the same door with an empty stomach. However, the villagers had prepared a special meal and served it to the hungry travelers.

 5. The Culture

The cultural diversity of Pakistan is evident from the rich religious, tribal, ethnic, and social life of the people. There is no dearth of attractions and beauty of nature. The Skardu Valley and its scenic beauty attract tourists and visitors from all over the world.

Conclusion 

In conclusion, this trip was one of the most incredible travel experiences I have ever had. It was amazing to experience the culture and history of a country that is so remote and unknown, yet so rich in heritage. I would recommend Skardu to anyone who loves adventure. A small group of us made the trek into the high-altitude wilderness of the Karakoram Range. We hiked deep into the mountains, through narrow valleys, and over high passes, gaining close-up views of the rugged peaks scattered around us. We took in the majestic beauty of the landscape, the colorful flowers that dotted the fields, and the magnificent glaciers that stood frozen in the highlands. We climbed up to the peak of Nanga Parbat, the world’s ninth highest mountain. This is a truly unforgettable experience.
