Takht-i-Bahi is an archaeological site of a Buddhist monastery in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Swat Valley was once believed to be the center of the Buddhist religion. Takht-i-Bahi lies on the top hill with an elevation of 15 meters above the sea level. Takht-i-Bahi means “the Throne of origin” or “throne of spring”. This site is considering among most important relies of Buddhist and has been exceptionally well preserved. The Historical site is an archaeological considered to be significant because of its unique design. This site is extremely important for its integrity and unique state of conservation. It was found in the first century and was in use until the 7th century.
